The Girl Gang Project

BrandingGraphic DesignMarketing Strategy
Girl Gang was a crowd-sourced music video production & single release project. I worked alongside Lisa Luxx to create a music video celebrating how it feels when women support women. Filmed by the supporters & friends of Lisa Luxx as well as many women worldwide that felt an affinity to the project that wanted to contribute.

The British-Syrian artist is best known for her electric live poetry performances, which Dazed magazine called “sensitive and revolutionary – always kind, always fierce”. She has headlined shows at such places as Royal Albert Hall and performed for the UN Women’s #HeForShe campaign. She’s also been broadcast on BBC Radio 4, ITV and VICE.

The aim of the Girl Gang single / video was to bring women together in high vibes. Lisa says: “During the first Women’s March I blasted big tunes like Beyoncé’s Formation and Princess Nokia’s Tomboy through a moving sound system. We’ve been through a lot, and women are working so hard on building a better world, so the least we deserve is to dance through the uprising. The oomph of energy and the joy it brought to resistance during that protest is what inspired me to write this song.”
